Candidate Sighting! (in Hilton Head???)

Ah, it's good to be in South Carolina right before the primaries! Who knows who you'll see. But are there really that many potential voters in Hilton Head? Well, according to this candidate's campaign, there were 275 supporters there to greet him at the Hilton Head Diner. Trudyblog has her doubts. And she's guessing that a lot of them were non-SC resident gawkers, like herself. But there was some media coverage - here's a car as proof.

The Women in Black are a winter Saturday fixture in Hilton Head. They must have been thrilled to appear somewhere other than along the main road and to be seen by someone who might actually pay attention to them.

The press!

Some TV reporter hotties. I actually chatted with the one on the left - she works for Fox News Channel and has just started following this candidate - before this she had been following Fred Thompson, a more likely candidate for Fox to tail.

At last, the bus! Arriving only 1/2 hour after it was scheduled to arrive.

And the candidate, looking just as handsome and sincere as he does on TV!

Good luck, John! But I don't think I'll stick around to hear your stump speech after you leave the diner. I've been standing here in the gloomy weather long enough.

You made us wait a long time between posts! Yay for John Edwards! Too bad he doesn't have much of a chance of winning the primaries.
