Finished At Last

The wood repair and painting project at 911 is finally done, and all in all looks pretty good.

Note the spiffy copper caps on the posts.

Some Carolina jessamine (South Carolina state flower) that I planted to take the place of my first really too-successful attempt to cover the fence with vines. The Carolina (or swamp) jessamine blooms in March and has very pretty and somewhat fragrant yellow flowers, so we should be able to enjoy its blooming season. I hope it does okay during the next few months while we're not here - the timed sprinklers have been off while construction was in progress and haven't been turned back on yet. And except for a little bit yesterday we've had no rain for a month.

New gate with new high-quality (we hope) hardware.

Newly-green front door.
